Dear readers,
This week was a very special week for the first team, but for the U16-team, it was pretty normal. We trained hard and it was very good, but nothing out of the ordinary happened.
Saturday we went to Århus and the trip was long! Longest trip I have been on since I have been in Denmark!! We had a 0-0 draw, which was an OK result. I think we played well. We had a few injuries leading up to the weekend, so it was hard because there was a lot of tactics that changed.
We played well together and moved the ball around well and I also think, that I did OK myself. There is always room for improvement, but it was an OK performance. Good being together with the U18′s as well on the trip. We had a laugh on the way home, which was good.
HAPPY FOR THE FIRST TEAM PLAYERS
Later that day, I watched the game against Viborg with the lads from the house. It was great to see them play so well and win. They really deserved that!! Especially at the end of the game, when all the fans were screaming and dancing around, it was great to see everybody so happy again!!
I think it meant a lot to everybody that is involved in Brøndby. I know it made me feel really good. I think that things have changed and that everybody has faith in the SAS-team again, which is great. And I believe the players are relieved a lot too.
HOW I BECAME A BRØNDBY PLAYER
Brøndby contacted me in February 2006 and later that month I came over for trials. I stayed in Denmark for a month playing and training with Brøndby.
The first man I met was a man named Peter Sixhoj. He is a very nice man and he showed me around the club and told me all about the history of the club. Then I met all the members of the club, all the coaches and a lot of the players.
It was great to see such a big club for the first time. And also to see such great fans… that was awesome. They are crazy and I have never seen any thing like it until I came to Brøndby…
I really thought it was great moving to Denmark to start a new life. Playing football, go to school, meet new people and talk a different language
A lot of people have asked me, if I went abroad to early, but I believe it was the only way for me.
If you want to make it to the big time, I think that you have to go and see how it is really done. And I think that Brøndby is a great club to teach young players all the skills and all the things needed to become a professional!
LIFE IN DENMARK
I go to Danish lessons 3 days a week in Copenhagen. That’s great, I love it. It gives me something to do and it teaches me to understand and speak the language. When I first got to Denmark, I had no idea what people were saying. Ha-ha. But now I can understand most of it, so I know if people are talking about me
The club have done lot to integrate me. They have arranged some Danish lessons for me 3 times a week, a home for me to live in and a lot more great things.
My first impression of Denmark was that I loved it and the people. Everybody in Denmark is so nice and I’m surrounded by helpful people all the time. Australia is still great, but I think it was a good move to come to Denmark.
It’s also really good to have Dave and Paul at the club. Me and David are good friends. We can talk about a lot of things together, which is great. There is also Paul, he is a great guy as well… they are top blokes. We do a lot of things together and it’s good to talk with them about things that happen in Australia…
MY PLANS FOR THE COMING WEEK
I think next week will be a tough, but good one. Should be good training, like always. And a good weekend where hopefully Denmark will get the three points they need.
There are a few Aussie camps and things, but I think it’s better for me to stay here in Europe with Brøndby. I’d rather have good performances with them, then going all the way to Australia for a few weeks of training. But I am sure that there will be a time, that I have to go all the way home… haha.
See you next week!

Bare lidt ekstra info.
